Sense of belonging
As she wonders through the fast moving crowd she search's for a face, a kind welcoming smile, a warming place, a sense of belonging. She gazes at the starry eyed couples holding each others hands and sharing laughter. The feeling of bitterness is unlike any other she has felt before. She wants to hold a hand but she is too afraid to extend her own. The crowd starts to fade, the sky suddenly turns gloomy and her wounds from her past come falling down from the sky. As each depressing words touches her face she closes her eyes and dreams of a better feature where she faces her fears and becomes the person she always wanted to be.
The moral of this short poem:
The crowd will only slow down if you allow it too. sitting in bubble of self pity will take you no where. Life moves on at a very fast pace although everything that is happening right now in your life seems slow and long lasting, it's not! Life is short and you have to love, smile, live laugh and be happy while you are living. Take chances, make mistakes, learn from your mistakes, Become the person you want to become, Don't allow yourself to be the victim of your own life or anyone else's life! Live today!
